Winter Getaways to Fernwood Resort

Tuesday, November 4, 2014

BUSHKILL, PA (December 2014-2015 Ski Season) – Winter is back with the return of cold temperatures and snowmaking weather. Now is the time to start thinking about holiday and winter getaways to the Pocono Mountains. The Villas at Tree Tops and Fairway and Fernwood Resort offer special packages that make skiing and snowtubing easy to book. Gina Bertucci, VP of Marketing for the Resort, comments, “We have partnered again with Shawnee and Camelback ski areas to create ski and stay packages that make it affordable to get out on the slopes. In addition, we are offering snowtubing packages that allow our guests to snowtube at our White Lightning Snowtubing Park that is equipped a Tiny Tot Play Area and a Magic Carpet lift that makes it easy to get up the hill and slide down again.”

The Villas and Fernwood Resort are a leader in Pocono Mountain getaway packaging. Bertucci continues, “With restaurants, snowtubing, massage, an aerial ropes course adventure park with zip lining, indoor pools, saunas, live entertainment and one and two bedroom villas, we offer it all - amenities, convenient location and specially priced lift and snowtubing tickets. Two night midweek ski and stay packages start from just $144 per night – it doesn’t get much more affordable when you do the math of the cost to purchase lift tickets and a villa separately. But more importantly, it is the best way to get out of hibernation and enjoy winter."

If you are not a skier and just want to take your family for a weekend winter getaway, the option of staying at The Villas and Fernwood, participating in their long list of daily activities including their new aerial ropes adventure course and dual racing 1,000 ft racing zip lines, swimming in the indoor pool or just relaxing in a cozy villa can all be accomplished with their White Lightning Snowtubing package that includes a two night weekend stay in a studio villa and two tickets to snowtubing for $190 a night. Bertucci concludes, “Cold weather should not force people indoors. There is plenty to do that celebrates winter whatever your athletic preference. We offer fresh air and sunshine at no extra charge.”

The Villas and Fernwood’s 400 acre resort is located just off I-80 in Pennsylvania adjacent to the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. Its Winter Fun Center is equipped with 100% snowmaking to provide snow whether or not Mother Nature cooperates.
